of your game.

Don't you want your game to be closer to perfection ?

Don't you lack an external perspective?

You're working hard on your game, which is great, but therefore there is a good chance that you have your nose to the grindstone and might not be noticing the details that make all the difference.

It's common for a creative team, at a certain point in the project, to lose sight of their initial vision or to no longer be sure about what constitutes a strong point or not.

The best way to overcome this issue is to seek an outside perspective.

You can then identify the key points that need to be improved. This will enable you to efficiently correct any mistakes and implement the necessary improvements.

So, to put it simply, you need feedbacks.

QA is not enough

Maybe you enlisted the services of a QA tester.

Although this option might appear appealing, because it's economical and well known in the game industry, it is not the best option to get actual game design feedbacks.

While a QA reports bugs and gives some feedbacks on your user experience and technical aspects. My document is a deep analysis of your game, and your game design.

In fact, the best thing to do is to have both a QA tester and me, you can then ask him to focus on technical aspect while I'm giving you what is needed to really better your game.

What your game designer really needs is to consult a peer.

Seeking the help of a peer

When a doctor has a health issue for which they don't know the treatment, they seek advice from a peer.

Of course, they could spend laborious hours sifting through medical studies to find a solution to their problem... But why waste that precious time?

My consulting is working the same way, the only difference is that you don't need to wait for the emergence of an obvious problem to call me, your fellow game designer, to give you a boost on your project and allow you to dodge some future issues.

I also give you a rundown of everything that is going well, so you know the strengths that allow your game to stand out.

And besides, it's quite fitting since I'm a qualified game designer, so I can offer you potential solutions that align with the vision of your project.

It's more than a review

Your time and resources are limited. Therefore, you should avoid any extra work, which is why I simplify the task for you by pointing out the issues and guiding you toward a solution.

In most cases, the document, which is accompanied by a debriefing call, is sufficient. However, occasionally, consulting may bring to light an issue that requires additional workload for the development team, such as the need to create a new game mechanic, for instance.

And don't panic, remember, I'm a game designer, so if you need backup, you can enlist my help for tasks like creating a game document. It's a better alternative than overburdening your game designers.

If you're interested in either or both of these types of work for your game, you can send me your build or your request at any time. You'll find my document in your mailbox a couple of days later, such as after the weekend.

You will then be able to read my document, which is comprehensive, efficient, and straight to the point. Furthermore, you can arrange a meeting at your convenience (at no additional cost) to discuss more deeply about my review if you feel you need it.
